Lego Land/SoCal

We recently went to Legoland in Carlsbad, California.  For those of you who have never heard of Legoland it is theme park north of San Diego.  It has rides and attraction that are all Lego themed and everything seems to be made out of Lego's.

The kids had the best time at the Lego driving experience.  Each child has their own car without a parent to boss them around and tell them what to do.  

 
And as luck would have it we even found a Lego princess for Sydney.

Today is our anniversary. 

We were married on a cold, rainy/snowy day in February of 1999.  It snowed so hard in the mountain passes that weekend a lot of people couldn't make it to the wedding.  There was a terrible flu bug going around that year and a lot of people (including Jason) got sick and couldn't make it to the wedding.  A few weeks before the wedding the power went off in the green house where the flowers were being grown for our wedding and all the flowers died.  We had some other incidents happen that seemed stressful at the time, but now don't really matter.  What did matter was Jason and I showed up at the church in front of God and our friends and family and started a wonderful adventure together.  I'm so lucky to be married to my best friend.

 

Sydney is 5!

Today our precious Sydney is 5!  Happy Birthday to our beautiful girl!

It's Fall around here.

 It is definatley Fall at the Federico house.  Jason left for Elk Camp on Sunday and the kids and I leave on Tuesday.  On Sunday morning we started the day with Cinnamon Pumpkin Pancakes.

 

Did I mention we stayed in our PJ's until noon?

Next we went to the Pumpkin Patch at 7 oaks farm.

So we didn't actually buy any pumpkins.  We grew our own pumpkins in the garden this year.  I just made the kids go out in the pumpkin patch so I could take some pictures.

OSU vs USC

Here is Jason last year when OSU beat USC at home.  I hope they can repeat this year on the road. Go Beavers!

Boo

So this is my newest craft project.  I know it isn't a very good picture but it was late and I wanted to get a new post up before I went to bed. 

I made this little project with some wood blocks I found at Wal-Mart.  The kids and I painted them with craft paint and let them dry.  Next, I cut cute scrapbooking paper to fit and then cut out the letters with my Cricut machine.  Last, I used Mog-Podg over the paper and the letters.  So easy and inexpensive.  Try making them at your house.

P.S. Yes, that is Rootbeer our cat in the picture.  After disappearing for the last 4 days he got to come in and spend some quality time with the family.

Davis turns 7!

 I can't believe it but Davis did indeed turn 7.  His birthday was last Saturday and it happen to fall on the same day as a home Beaver game.  So this year he decided he wanted to go to the Beaver game for his birthday and have a tailgate birthday party. 

He started his morning at home with presents wrapped in beaver wrapping paper.

 

After opening his gifts it was time to get on the road and go to the game.

A few of Davis' friends were able to come to his party and his special aunt, Aunt Nancy came and brought him this cool truck.

 
We also brought a football pinata for the kids to hit.  Lucky for us we tailgate under a big tree so we had the perfect place to hang it from.

 
 

After the pinata it was time for cake!

Here is a close up shot of Davis' cake.  I was worried about traveling with a decorated cake so I took a picture before we left.  No worries though, the cake arrived in perfect shape.

Sydney enjoyed the carmel apple that Aunt Nancy brought.

 

Overall, we all had a great day.  Happy Birthday Davis!
 
 

 

SOB

Last weekend we got together with some friends for a little pizza and beer tasting at Southern Oregon Brewing (SOB).  We had bought the party with 3 other couples last September at the D9 auction.   Well we finally got around to having the party and we had a great time.

1st Beaver Game!

The first Beaver Game of the year was on Saturday and all of us went.  This was Sydney's first Beaver game ever and Davis' second.  We were so excited about tailgating with our friends, but what happened?  Rain!

Here is Sydney during the tailgate.  The kids had to spend most of the time in the car as it was a downpour.

 

We didn't have a very big canopy so everyone had to stay close together or risk getting soaked.

Sydney was so excited to meet a REAL cheerleader!  This cheerleader saw Sydney in her outfit and came right up to her and talked to her.  Sydney was so excited!

 

Davis got to stand next to Jaquizz Rodgers!  Okay, so it wasn't the real Quizz but it was still exciting.

The rain stopped just in time for the game and the Beavers won!  We couldn't have asked for a better day.
